Mid Michigan Retina PLC is a state-of-the-art center dedicated exclusively to the diagnosis and treatment of retinal diseases. Our practice was founded by Dr. Ashim Aggarwal, a board certified ophthalmologist. Dr. Aggarwal is committed to providing compassionate and personalized care and has been serving the Mid Michigan community for 12 years. We also have offices in Mt. Pleasant and Marshall.
The mission of our practice is to preserve and restore one of the precious five senses, sight, in our patients. We thrive to provide the highest level of professional care, in the warmest possible surroundings, in order to treat any condition associated with the retina. Dr. Ashim Aggarwal has been providing the mid Michigan region with complete ophthalmology care since 2002. He has been Board Certified in Ophthalmology since 1986 with fellowships in Vitreoretinal Diseases and Surgery. He also has a fellowship in Neuro-ophthalmology and practices that sub specialty in a limited way.
Dr. Aggarwal is also experienced in performing various surgeries of eye and is renowned for his expertise and attentive care while performing 25-gauge vitreous surgery. This is a small incision surgery which requires no sutures and in most cases has minimal pain and discomfort after surgery. Most patients are able to return to work the very next day. Dr. Aggarwal has performed more than 1200 of the 25-guage vitrectomies in the past nine years.
